What is BrandKity?

BrandKity is a brand asset management platform where designers, agencies, founders, and brand teams build a Brand Kit — a single shareable link containing all of a brand's logos, colors, fonts, visuals, files, and guidelines. It replaces scattered Drive folders, zip files, and PDF decks with one live brand portal that is always up to date.

What is a Brand Kit and why does every brand need one?

A Brand Kit is a structured, shareable web portal holding everything that defines a brand's visual identity: logo variants, color palette with HEX/RGB/CMYK values, typography choices, image library, brand guidelines, and downloadable files. Every brand needs one because it creates a single source of truth — eliminating the version confusion, inbox hunting, and "which logo do I use?" questions that slow teams down.

What is a brand portal and how is it different from a Drive folder?

A brand portal is a purpose-built, structured hub for brand assets — not just a file dump. Unlike a Drive folder, a BrandKity brand portal organizes assets by type (Colors, Typography, Logos, Visuals, etc.), supports access controls, allows custom domains, and shows a professional branded experience to anyone with the link. It is live, always current, and requires no login to view.

Who is BrandKity built for?

BrandKity serves three main audiences: agencies and freelancers who need to deliver brand assets to clients professionally, founders and startups who want to package their brand identity for contractors, investors, and partners, and in-house brand teams at growing companies who need a centralized brand resource their whole organization can access.

How many Brand Kits can I create on the free plan?

The free plan supports up to 3 published Brand Kits with no time limit and no credit card required. Each kit gets all 9 block types, public sharing, 7-day analytics, and Shopify app access. Paid plans start at $9/month for 8 kits.

Can I protect a Brand Kit with a password or restrict access by email?

Yes, on Starter and above. In kit settings you can set access to password-protected or email OTP. With OTP you can add an allowlist so only specific email addresses can request access codes — useful for sharing with external vendors or press without making the kit publicly discoverable.

Can clients download files from my Brand Kit?

Yes, and you control it. Download permissions can be enabled or disabled per kit. You can allow downloads for all assets, restrict specific blocks to view-only, or disable downloads entirely. This is separate from view access — you can let anyone view while restricting what they can save locally.

Can I use a custom domain for my Brand Kit portal?

Yes. The Pro plan ($24/month) includes one workspace-level custom domain. The Agency plan ($59/month) gives you unlimited kit-level custom domains, so each client's brand portal can be served from their own subdomain — for example, brand.clientname.com.

Can I add custom fonts to my Brand Kit?

Yes. BrandKity supports Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts embed URLs, directly uploaded font files (TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2), and system font references in typography blocks. Each typography entry can include usage rules and specimen text.

What happens to my content if I downgrade my plan?

Your content is never deleted. If you exceed the kit limit after downgrading, excess published kits are automatically moved to draft. You can re-publish them immediately if you upgrade again. BrandKity never deletes your data for being on a lower plan.
